Digital Photography and Imaging | Week 4
Week 4
Lecture
Today Mr Fauzi introduced us to the adjustment layers and the filter tool in Photoshop. These are tools that can be used to edit the image without destroying the original pixels of the image.
Adjustment Layers
Brightness/Contrast: Adjusts the total range of your image, the overall highlights, and shadows.
Level: Adjusts the levels of shadows, mid-tones, and highlights and focuses more on details.
Curve: Adjust as many points as you want throughout the entire tonal range of the image.
Exposure: 'Exposure' adjusts only the highlights of the image, 'offset' adjusts mid-tones and 'gamma' adjusts dark tones only.
Selective Colour: Selectively adjust a primary colour without affecting other primary colours.
Tutorial
Mr Fauzi showed a few video tutorials covering different tools in Photoshop adjustment and filters.
